I too deal with the time scarcity demons, and wish you strength and victory in your battle with them! And I know Iāve said this before, but I feel like it bears repeating: You are producing a lot of high level content! From your posts, to your books, to your singing, to your artwork. You deserve to take a step back and appreciate all youāve accomplished so far! It does not appear at all like you are wasting time from my perspective.
My inner critic has definitely been chatty lately since Iāve made the decision to celebrate the nude feminine form in my artwork, at least for a phase. My critic tried to make me believe that I couldnāt draw human or feminine figures well (this was a hilarious lie, because I have several examples of drawings Iāve done that prove this wrong. I quite like the results of my previous experiments with this subject, actually.) So now my critic is promising censorship and all kinds of hate will come my way. The thing is, I KNOW this. In fact, seeing this happen elsewhere is exactly why I feel called to do it. I want to reclaim our form as a symbol of fertility, nourishment, strength, creativity, nature, and power, rather than as a mere sexual object.
Aww Jules! I so appreciate your cheering me on! š„¹ and I love being here to support you, as well!
Your nude feminine artwork was beautifully rendered. So powerful and pure!
Btw, was your artwork flagged? I didnāt see any āmature contentā warnings on your art, but Substack flagged my sketch of the nude sculpture from the art museum𤣠haha! I wasnāt expecting that. The standards on here are so different from Instagram.
I also love the theme youāve chosen. Reclaiming our female form is so very important. As something inherently powerful we women have ā for our own benefit, not a commodity to commercialize, or something meant for the male gaze.
Keep going, Jules! I canāt wait to see your next artwork in the series.
Youāre welcome, Marisa! Iām very happy to, and appreciate you cheering me on as well!
Thank you so much! š„°š„°š„°
It wasnāt flagged, yet. So far Iāve only posted it to your chat. Iām going to wait to post them to my page until I have all of them done, and maybe an essay to go along with them. I think the chats may have different rules of engagement?
I would expect Instagram to just flat out take it down, lol. I have a friend who was doing amazing drawings for a coloring book of mammalian teats, (Iām totally getting that coloring book if she finishes it!) including human, and the human one got removed after about a day š.
Thank you! This is honestly something that has quietly made me furious since I was a kid, and Iām finally feeling confident enough to make art about it and write about it. Exactly, exactly, exactly! I really appreciate your support on this š«¶ā šš¤.
Aaah I love hearing your voice again!

What a beautiful voice!!! I love this! Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much, Jacquline! It means so very much to me that you enjoyed it, after not sharing any of my music with anyone for many years!
Thanks much for listening & for your kind words ā„ļøš
